A new Facebook group called the above has just been started.
This is how the group describes itself:
This group is for anyone who believes that Parvez Sharma does not represent the beliefs of the Muslim faith or the Holy Quran, and for everyone who is aware that homosexuality does not exist in Islam.
Parvez Sharma has insulted Islam and the Holy Quran. He claims to be a Muslim while he is an openly gay filmaker who directed and produced a film called A Jihad for Love which is about gays and lesbians.
Homosexuality is strictly forbidden in Islam and the Holy Quaran, ayone who is a homosexual and calls themself a Muslim is an apostate. Parvez Shamra needs to stop calling himself a Muslim because he is an apostate. Given the fact that homosexuality is a capital offense in Islam.
Right now, it has only two members.
Mohamad Rasheed who is he founder of this group also has posted this on my wall-
"Homosexuality does not exist in Islam, it is strictly forbidden in the Holy Quran and a capital offense in Islam. You are not a Muslim, you are an apostate."
Question of the day: What should I do?
started this blog, 2007. today i am a guggenheim fellow, a much lauded filmmaker and author; creator of 3 world firsts: a jihad for love; a sinner in mecca (films) + 112,000 page book. visit parvezsharma.com but this blog is historically important; a partial on the road record; the world's first ever film on islam and homosexuality; fact = "islam trilogy" = 8 million plus eyeballs; yes, death, defying work, but re-taught me gratitude+ humility; karma backbones = dh; sd; at; hva; pa

Delete the wall comment and possibly report the group, since it's attacking an individual person. That's pretty horrible though. Good luck! They'll regret posting negative, hateful comments on the internet later.
report the group to facebook
Volume 8, Book 73, Number 71:
Narrated Abu Dhar:
That he heard the Prophet saying, "If somebody accuses another of Fusuq (by calling him 'Fasiq' i.e. a wicked person) or accuses him of Kufr, such an accusation will revert to him (i.e. the accuser) if his companion (the accused) is innocent." (Sahih Bukhari)
Assalaamu Alaicum
This anonymous bro is totally right. Accusations of Kufr are one of Islam's strongests sins.
I do agree, by the way, to report Facebook. Although the problem is not the group's presence but its motto _I mean, there are people following that crap.
Maybe a "We respect Parvez Sharma and love him, whether we agree or disagree with his positions" group?
One of the members Lucy actually came to your defense and let it be known that the guy was out of line for creating the group an trying to slander you... keep up the great work!
I'm neither gay no pro homosexuality,I have no Idea. But as a Muslim I can say accusing one person is a high risk.but questioning what u do is not so far from reasonable.Have you ever thought about the tribe of Lut in Quran??why is that mentioned?just a respectful question...maybe gays shouldn't announce or advertise...maybe god wants them to keep it to themselves...maybe and maybe...
Hi, the admin left of that group and I took over (explained if you look back to that same group).
Facebook didn't remove it in time, so I made a rather stern statement in the recent news section.
I hope I haven't offended any muslims, as if you read thoroughly my intention was un-biased (as much as can be, anyway).
I'll delete the group myself if any homophobic comments get out of hand.
I would like to state here that the take-over of the group (albeit relatively small group) was not led on by Parvez Sharma, I did it through my own will and no one elses.
Keep fighting the good fight, you have Channel 4 by your side too!
The author of "Parvez Sharma is not a Muslim..." is merely stating what his religion believes and what his scriptures (and yours, according to you, Parvez) say. It's ridiculous to tattle tale to Facebook - freedom of speech should rule here, whether you agree or disagree. Lots of people get slammed verbally as is proven by the blogs you, Parvez, have written.
